sloping, set in an elevated position (450 ft).
It faces south with far reaching
views over the Vale of York and across the Pennines.
It is set in a good walking
and sight-seeing area convenient for York, the Howardian and Hambleton Hills
and the North York Moors.
There is riding, golf (Thirsk
and Easingwold), fishing and racing (Thirsk, Wetherby, Ripon, York) nearby
